FALL TRYOUT SCHEDULE

 

BOYS SOCCER

Thursday, August 27 THROUGH Monday, August 31 (every day); all at Wakeman B, E and A
 
Boys grades 10-12:  8 to 10 a.m. AND 3 to 5 p.m.
 
Boys grade 9: 12 to 2 pm (Wakeman B and E only)
 
 

GIRLS SOCCER

Thursday, August 27 THROUGH Monday, August 31 (every day); all at Wakeman B, E and A
 
Girls grades 9-12: 10 a.m. to 12 pm AND 5 to 7 pm
 

FIELD HOCKEY

Tuesday, September 1 THROUGH Friday, September 4 (every day); Ginny Parker Field 3 - 6pm
 
 
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY 2020 - Tryout Information

Very Important - New for this coming year: Due to the uncertainty of what the season will
look like there will be some changes in who will be on the team. The first two weeks of
practice will be tryout weeks. Remaining on the team for the rest of the season will be
determined by two criteria: running ability and dedication to coming to practice. Therefore, it
is very important that you make every effort to start official practice on August 27 and remain
consistent during the season. Please note, there will be time trials early in the tryout
process. These trials will help to determine who will make the team. It is anticipated that we
will have a smaller than usual team in order to properly adhere to CIAC published Covid-19
Guidelines.

Also, boys trying out for the cross country team shall be able to attain one of the
following standards:
 
One Mile Run: Seniors – 6:00, Juniors – 6:20, Sophomores –
6:40 and Freshmen – 7:00.
OR: Three Mile Run: Seniors – 21:00, Juniors – 22:00,
Sophomores – 23:00 and Freshmen – 24:00.
 
On August 27 all potential team members should report to the Staples track at 2:45
PM ready to run and with an already filled water bottle. Please note only those
students who are properly registered for the team may attend practice and tryouts.
 
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY 2020 - Tryout Information
